Criteria and evaluation
Appearance & Feel: -Many different species of wood, in all sorts of colors
and grain patterns.
-Beautiful and natural look.
-Can get nicked, scratched, and scuffed quickly.
Resistance: -Depending on the type of finish, it can stain and crack.
-It does not react well to water.
-Not heat resistant
-Not recommended for kitchen or bathroom countertop.
Antimicrobial: Do not use waxes, polishes (such as Pledge), strong
detergents, ammonia solutions, bleach and abrasive
cleaners.
Maintenance & Cleaning: -No maintenance required.
-Mild soap and water applied with a clean cloth can be
used to clean every day.
Value: More economic than solid wood counter.
